Macoun employees get trained up for the “Green Deal”

This week Alan and Guy visited the British Gypsum Academy in Cumbria to gain accreditation in dry wall construction.

Both Alan and Guy are time served joiners and chose to go on this course to extend their

understanding of new products and fixing processes . The course carries with it accreditation to allow them to install “Green Deal” insulated partition and external wall systems which is part of the Governments initiative to reduce our carbon foot print in the UK. The Green Deal is to be launched in October 2012 and it designed to allow home owners to up grade the thermal efficiency of their homes and therefore reduce their carbon footprint and energy consumption.

As well as passive technologies such as insulated walls, Macoun is also focusing on active micro energy generation such as Photovoltaic cells (PV), Solar Thermal, Heat Pumps as well as environmental technologies such as rain water harvesting.

This week MD Richard Weir attended a training course with Viessmann in Telford to understand how to specify and fit Solar Thermal technology.

  1. Great article, appreciate your discussing the data. It’s not all too often that you study an article the location where the poster understands what they’re running a blog with regards to. Grammar along with punctuational are generally spot on as well, just difficulty I did actually possess was bringing up the web site, seemed slow. Looks like additional site visitors skilled exactly the same trouble?

    • Hi Mr/Mrs McClurkin,
